We’ve been serving with Global Outreach Developments since 2006 in both Nashville, TN and Latin America. Of special importance to us are serving immigrants and refugees here in the states, teaching English and Spanish and serving with our team of friends from GOD Int’l. in El Salvador. The candles

My Kay Kay’s candles are famous in our family. When she began encouraging me learn her skill, I was completely intimidated. It wasn’t until a friend of mine asked if I could make candles as favors for a women’s retreat that I began to wonder if making candles could be a good fit for our family — that is if I could step outside of my comfort zone.

My Kay Kay’s recipe started it all!

My Kay Kay’s recipe started it all!

Armed with encouragement and a stellar recipe from my grandmother I poured my first candle in 2014, making those candles for my friend’s event. Light Shine Candles was born. Since then, we've poured THOUSANDS all in small batches, of course. Because we make these candles with our own hands, we’ve chosen to use only non-GMO soy and high-quality fragrance oils that are free of phthalates. We skip the dyes and use an all-cotton wick. Finish with a locally printed label and voila!

You can catch us at many markets and events around Nashville or check one of our stockists. Stay stocked with our curated monthly subscription box.

We hope you enjoy Light Shine Candles as much as we enjoy making them for you.

From our family to yours — ¡Gracias!
